- This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.
- Contact form messages pass through FormSubmit in the United States before reaching our inbox.
- We do not sell personal information or send marketing without your consent.

Who we are
Stratos Strategic Advisory, ABN 61 681 122 501, registered in New South Wales and operating across Australia. Our Privacy Officer handles all privacy questions, requests and complaints. Contact them at team@stratosstrategicadvisory.com.au, marked "Attention: Privacy Officer".
What we collect
We only collect personal information that we need to respond to you and to provide our services. This may include:
- your name, organisation, email address and phone number;
- the content of your enquiry and any later correspondence; and
- if you become a client, the information needed to deliver and invoice the engagement.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs or criminal records) through this website. Please do not include it in the contact form. If an engagement requires sensitive information, we will only collect it with your consent and where it is reasonably necessary.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own website rather than third parties. Our website host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Our host, VentraIP Australia, keeps these logs on servers in Sydney for a limited period.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete the contact form, email us, speak with us or engage our services. If someone gives us information about you, we will take reasonable steps to make sure you are aware of it.
Dealing with us anonymously
You can ask general questions without identifying yourself, for example by using a pseudonym. We will need a way to reply to you, and we may not be able to provide services without knowing who you are.
Why we collect it and how we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide and manage our services, send invoices, keep business records and meet our legal obligations. We will not use it for any other purpose unless you consent or the law allows it.
We will not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We do not sell or rent personal information.
Who we disclose it to
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) forwards contact form submissions to our email inbox. It is based in the United States, so your form details are sent overseas.
- Our email provider, VentraIP Australia, which stores our email in Australia.
- Our website host, VentraIP Australia, whose servers are in Sydney.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, and government authorities where the law requires it.
By submitting the contact form you acknowledge that your details will be sent to FormSubmit in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers handle information consistently with the APPs.
We will never ask you to change payment or bank details by email. If you receive a request like that which appears to come from us, please call us to verify it before acting.
Overseas disclosure
Contact form submissions are processed by FormSubmit in the United States. Our email and website are hosted in Australia. We do not otherwise disclose personal information overseas.
Automated decisions
We do not use computer programs to make decisions that could significantly affect your rights or interests. If that changes, we will update this policy to explain what decisions are made and what information is used.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), the contact form uses spam protection, and access to our email and hosting accounts is protected by strong, unique passwords. We do not store form submissions on this website.
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, and client records for as long as tax and other laws require (generally 5 to 7 years). After that we securely delete or de-identify it.
Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing team@stratosstrategicadvisory.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge to make a request. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
